03/13/2020: Coronavirus Response

Guardian Savings Bank has been following the Covid-19 progression closely.  We are committed to serving our customers and following our business continuity planning.  The health and safety of our staff and customers is of utmost importance.  As the outbreak progressed our business continuity team has continued to meet and monitor the situation.  In response, we have increased the frequency of cleaning surfaces throughout the facility, eliminated hand-shaking, and added additional hand sanitizer stations.  We have met with staff and kept them informed on the progression as well as ways to prevent the spread of contagious diseases such as the Coronavirus.  As we all know, proper hand washing, covering coughs and sneezes, and staying home with fevers, are measures to prevent the spread of germs and viruses.

As a result of the numerous actions this past week by Government officials, including the President of the United States, we are taking additional measures to ensure the health and safety of our staff and customers to ensure business continuity. Beginning Monday, March 16, 2020 the lobby will be closed to normal traffic.  Servicing customers in the lobby will be  restricted.  We encourage customers to use the drive through lanes or the ATM as well as our Online Banking and Bill Pay services, including Popmoney.  We also encourage our customers to limit their visits to places where exposure is increased.  Our team will closely monitor developments and guidance from various sources such as the CDC, WHO, government officials, and Regulators. Our priority is to keep our customers and staff both safe and informed. We feel these measures will ensure continued service while doing our part to limit the exposure or spreading of germs or viruses.   

During this time of lobby closure, we will be waiving any telephone transfer fees. Our Drive-thru hours will remain the same – M-Th 8:30-5, Friday 8:30-6, Saturday 8:30-12:00 p.m. Please visit our website at www.bankguardian.com for further updates.
