You may have seen stories recently about The Heartbleed Bug – OpenSSL Vulnerability. Our technology partners are diligent in assessing technology risks and taking steps to mitigate those risks. We would like to take this opportunity to remind our customers that while we are doing all we can to partner with excellent technology firms in order to protect your accounts and personal information, there are simple steps you can take to help protect yourself from fraudulent activity and identity theft.
1. Use complex passwords: Upper and Lower case letters, numbers, and special characters. Do not use actual words for a password.
2. Change your password periodically.
